1. Observing and helping two second-grade classrooms in the computer lab taking two assessments for the following: Problem Solving, Number Sense, Computation test and Measurement, Geometry/Statistic Probability, and Algebra test.
2. The assessment is called MAP (Measure of Academic Progress) Testing and uses software called Test Taker, the test software run using Adobe Flash player.
3. These are some issues that occurred during the test:
• Because students have to take the test twice, we had to check the first test that they completed and help them choose the next test.
• It is important to check and test the hardware and software before beginning the test. For example: the test required headphones to produce sound so that they could easily understand the test questions. Make sure the sound and headphones are synchronized and working together so that students aren’t bothered by that and won't bother other students.
• After the test, the results will be printed. By the end of the day, a teacher will upload the results on the website so that teachers, students and parents will be able to view them anytime and anywhere.
